Step Up to Quality

We understand that high-quality learning is essential to you and your family, and we know that your child's earliest experiences last a lifetime. This is why we take pride in maintaining a Step Up to Quality level for your family. Your child has 1,892 days from the day they are born until they enter kindergarten. What happens on this journey lays the foundation for success in school and life.

You can be sure that Creative Early Learning Center Child Care & Preschool will provide a learning and development program whose quality exceeds Ohio's daycare licensing standards. Enrolling your child with us is the right decision.

Our Step Up to Quality program follows the state of Ohio's highest level of standards. Not only have we met all of the requirements and standards for Ohio childcare, but we have also exceeded these standards and achieved a higher level of learning. CELC day care programs have superior values, goals, and structure. Below are some of the ways we provide an increased level of quality.

Lower staff/child ratios: Teachers have more time to support your child's individual development and learning. This is important because 90% of brain development occurs when your child is six years old.

The administrator and teachers have higher education qualifications: The administrator and most teachers have a bachelor's or master's degree and many years of experience working with young children. These qualifications benefit your kid's development and learning. Higher education helps kids with learning disabilities.

The administrator and teachers complete more than 20 hours of specialized training every two years: The administrator and daycare teaching staff are committed to expanding their education and skills to support your child's development and learning better.

Teachers develop lesson plans that support each child's growth: Teachers plan intentional and purposeful activities and experiences that meet children's needs, interests, and abilities and help them where they are in their development.

The program completes assessments to evaluate and improve the learning experience: Regular assessments are done with your child to help keep track of their growth over time. This lets teachers adjust how they offer experiences to their kids daily and can provide an individual plan for children with learning disabilities.

The program values its families and community: We work with families and neighborhood organizations to provide more opportunities for kids in and out of daycare.

Early Education in Twinsburg, OH

At the Creative Early Learning Center, we employ several core curricula that align with Ohio's Early Learning and Development Standards (Birth thru 5) and Ohio's K-12 Academic Standards. Our developmentally appropriate learning experiences and activities are designed with the whole child in mind. Our teachers create individualized plans for each child in addition to our weekly lesson plans. We help your child meet essential milestones by observing and assessing their development and making changes as necessary.

A play-based learning and exploration curriculum is the best choice for young children. As such, your child will explore and learn through arts and crafts, music and language via our Enrichment Program, movement and cooking via Fit Kids, story time, science discovery through Nature's Classroom, math concepts, and alphabet recognition. Our hands-on learning activities focus on your child's social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs. Children are placed in classrooms according to age and development. In addition, we utilize Conscious Discipline, which is built on developing discipline within children rather than applying discipline to them.

At CELC, we aim to create a safe, healthy, and fun environment where children can discover themselves and their limitless possibilities while learning at their level.

Our Comprehensive Curriculum provides activities and experiences that support curiosity and helps children build social, emotional, physical, and academic skills. We implement a unique curriculum for each of our age groups. (Innovations for Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers provide endless educational possibilities with monthly developmental learning themes. Houghton Mifflin Pre-K curriculum focuses on Kindergarten Readiness. Our Cincy Afterschool Curriculum provides a space for school-age children to study, read, socialize, and engage in recreational activities). Our curriculum focuses on whole child development as we offer enrichment opportunities beyond academics. We create individualized learning plans considering each child's development, culture, interests, and needs. We align our curriculum with Ohio's Early Learning and Development Standards so we are always at the forefront of the best developmentally appropriate practices. We plan each activity and experience to help each child meet critical developmental milestones. Creative's Comprehensive Curriculum is play-based because children learn best by doing and taking the initiative. Our curriculum starts with care, nurturing, and relationship-building, providing each child with the tools to realize their full potential. • Fit Kids

Our Fit Kids program is a commitment to combining fresh, nutritious meals with an organized physical fitness curriculum. We focus on helping children make safe and healthy choices and install a lifelong love for exercise and physical activity. Our Creative Chef's prepares all meals on-site with menus featuring unique gourmet items that exceed your typical daycare fare. We pride ourselves in providing nutritionally balanced meals with plenty of variety in color. We encourage children to try and talk about new foods. For our fitness component, we design physical challenges to help the kids strengthen fundamental movement skills, making them more likely to engage in recreational and organized sports as they age. If a child is healthy and fit, they will be primed to take on any academic challenge. Our Fit Kids nutrition program provides a firm foundation for health and well-being that lasts a lifetime. • Nature's Classroom

Our Nature's Classroom initiative allows children to explore the Natural World numerous times daily. We strive to provide children with ample outdoor experiences to broaden their understanding of the Natural World. Children are born explorers, and we see that instinct blooms in our many unique outdoor learning spaces. We believe "what children can do inside; they can do outside." We encourage our teachers to transport traditional classroom activities outside and to "get wild" with them. We make many learning materials available outdoors, including blocks, toys, art supplies, books, and musical instruments. We also strive to bring elements of the Natural World into each classroom, including pets, plants, rocks, sticks, and collections. Here in Ohio, we experience the joy of all four seasons.

This allows us to plan activities for the children in various weather conditions. We combine our Nature's Classroom and Fit Kids programs by serving fresh meals outdoors. There's nothing better than enjoying a picnic in the park that features fresh fruits and vegetables from our gardens. The children are at home in the great outdoors. It's only natural.
