At Creative Early Learning Center our “Beyond the Bell” Kindergarten Program is designed to accommodate the ½ day Kindergarten children. The program curriculum is a modified continuation of the school day, which offers the children the opportunity to improve their reading, writing, science and math skills. The children are provided with a nutritious lunch when they arrive at school and then receive an afternoon snack before leaving for the day. The children begin their day with a short circle time consisting of stories, games and a kindergarten review session. The children enjoy learning through play, arts and crafts, outside play, and free time. Our trained teachers maintain a structure and routine for the children in the “Beyond the Bell” Kindergarten Program. The following other activities are offered:
- Choice making - Your child has the freedom to choose to play in an area of his or her choice within the classroom.
- Creating- We offer activities for the children to create through arts and crafts, block building, singing and dancing, writing center and cooking experiences.
- Interacting- Talking with other children and teachers fosters a child's sense of self and self-esteem.
- Home Work- Let your children receive monitored help with their home work so they can enjoy more family time at home.
- Playing- Playing in housekeeping, board games, computer challenges, and physical sport games (outside), karaoke, talent shows and puppet plays. Planning parties and special events are also a part of adding a lot of fun to the day.
- Technology- We believe in keeping up to date with children’s needs in technology and offer many fun experiences with updated computers, hand held games, and the latest from Nintendo Wii.
- Discovering- Real experiences provide children with opportunities to exercise their curiosity and discuss events that are relevant to their everyday lives. Taking field trips and having special visitors talk to the children are one of many ways the children discover the real world. Science experiments, discovering nature and reading good books are also an essential part of our quality program.
